Train to Become an Early Intervention Specialist
Thank you for your interest in training to become an Early Intervention Specialist (EIS).
Family Early Intervention Services (Georgia PINES) is now accepting applications for training to become an early intervention specialist. This is a flexible contract opportunity that allows you to work on your own schedule after your regular work hours.
Early intervention specialists provide support and education to families of children from birth to 3 years old who are deaf/hard of hearing and/or blind/visually impaired, including children with multiple disabilities.
Training Details
- Hybrid cohort model with monthly sessions from April 2026 through March 2027
- One required 2-day in-person session in June 2026 (location to be determined)
- $150 registration fee and $100 materials deposit fee (due by June 26, 2026)

Thank you for your interest in training to become a PINES Deaf Mentor.
Any deaf adult who has at least a two-year college degree and fluent in ASL can apply to be trained as a Georgia PINES Deaf Mentor (DM). We particularly seek Deaf Adults who love working with very young children and their families. Teaching/Educational experience preferred but not required.
This is a wonderful way for you to make a difference in the lives of babies/toddlers who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing - and their families. We would love to have you join us in this incredibly rewarding work!
